What is Test & Tagging
The goal is simple: help prevent electric shocks, fires, or injuries — and give you peace of mind that your gear is safe.
Test and Tagging is the job most electricians don’t like doing but the job we love because it helps to keep everyone safe.
It is the process of checking electrical equipment to make sure it’s safe to use. First, we visually inspect the item for any obvious damage. Then we use a special tester to check the internal electrical safety.
If it passes, we place a tag on it showing the date it was tested, when it needs to be checked again, and who tested it. We then provide you with a full report of what has been tested, what the results are and when it will be due to be done next.
DO YOU KNOW IF YOU NEED APPLIANCE TESTED IN YOUR INDUSTRY?
Under Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760, many industries are legally required to test and tag all electrical equipment to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and contractors.
Some of the industries this refers to is:
Construction and trades
Healthcare and aged care
Offices and retail
Hospitality and tourism
Warehousing and logistics
Laboratories and manufacturing
Cleaners, real estate, and schools
Caravan parks and holiday rentals
Failure to comply can lead to fines, liability risks, or serious accidents — don’t take that chance and Call us to check what your obligations are.
Peace of mind starts with proper certification — and thats why we are Qualified. Certified. Trusted.
